General Information

There is a private sandy beach for our guests only — no roads to cross to reach it. The water deepens gradually and is safe for children. There is a raft anchored in the bay for swimmers. You’ll find lots of lawn and trees and beautiful sunsets over the bay. Across the bay you can see Potawatomi State Park and its tower. A firepit by the beach with benches is a focal point of fun for all.

There are 14′ aluminum rowboats for your use, as well as lawn furniture, picnic table and barbecue grill for each cottage. Badminton, horseshoes, tetherball, lawn chairs, picnic table on the beach and more are shared by all guests.

Open May through October. The Beach House and The Bay Guest House are winterized and open all year.

Our week begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday and ends at 10 a.m. the following Saturday. A security deposit of $250 to $400 per week is asked with all reservations. When making a reservation please tell us the number of adults and ages of your children so we can effectively plan for you. Babies are included in the maximum for each unit.

Please bring your own beach towels and life jackets. There are some life vests on the property, but children must wear a life jacket when using a boat.

Linens and towels are not provided. However, Sandy Bay Shores has linens and towels available for your convenience for a charge. Please call or e-mail for further information and rates.
